Otis started its business in UAE in 1975 and was known as United Development Company. It was the sole agent in the country for all Otis products. From 2002, Otis Elevator Company took over the operations and full responsibility for the sales, installations and continuing maintenance of Otis products. Otis in the UAE is a pioneer in the elevator and escalator industry and is proud to have been the first company to install an elevator, escalator and moving walkway in the country. Otis has installed iconic buildings in the UAE including Burj Khalifa, One Za’abeel, and Zayed International Airport.

More than 350 technicians are factory trained to install, service and repair of its equipment. Their skills are regularly refreshed through on-site theoretical and practical training by Otis experts.
